Stilo is a platform that connects clients with hairdressers and barbers. These terms govern the use of the Stilo application by clients seeking and booking services.
1. Purpose and definitions
Stilo is a marketplace that facilitates searching, viewing availability, and booking hairdressing and barbering services. Stilo does not directly provide hairdressing services and is not responsible for their quality. The service relationship is direct between you (the client) and the professional.
User: a person who downloads and uses the Stilo app on an Android device.
Professional: a person or business registered on the platform offering hairdressing or barbering services.
Booking: a request for an appointment with a professional through the platform.
2. Registration and authentication
To use Stilo, you must register by providing:
- Mobile phone number
- OTP verification code received by SMS
No password is required. Access is confirmed via OTP code each time you log in on a new device. Your phone is your access credential.
You are responsible for keeping your phone secure and not sharing OTP codes received. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact [email protected].
3. Acceptable use
We limit the use of Stilo to:
- Searching for professionals by proximity
- Viewing availability and services
- Making bookings
- Rating and reviewing completed services
- Participation in the loyalty program
Prohibited:
- Using platform data for commercial purposes (resellers, scraping)
- Posting false, offensive, or violent content
- Interfering with normal platform operation or overloading servers
- Attempting to access restricted areas or other users’ information
- Using the platform for illegal activities or scams
4. Bookings and cancellations
4.1 Making a booking
A booking is a request for an appointment that the professional must confirm. The displayed availability is indicative based on their schedule. Your phone number is shared with the professional for coordination.
4.2 Cancellation by the client
You can cancel a booking at least 2 hours in advance without penalty. Cancellations within the last 2 hours may be recorded as a no-show. Accumulation of cancellations or no-shows may result in booking restrictions with that professional.
4.3 Cancellation by the professional
The professional can cancel a booking. Stilo will notify you so you can seek alternatives.
5. Limitation of Stilo’s responsibility
Stilo is not responsible for:
- The quality, safety, or timeliness of the hairdressing service provided
- The behavior, professionalism, or integrity of the professional
- Damages, injuries, or claims arising from the service itself
- Loss of personal data beyond that caused by proven failure of Stilo
- Temporary unavailability of the platform due to maintenance or force majeure
Stilo acts as an intermediary facilitating the connection. Any claims regarding service quality are between you and the professional.
6. Ratings and reviews
After completing a booking, you can rate the professional and leave a review. You must be honest and base it on your actual experience. You cannot:
- Post false information
- Use ratings as retaliation for personal conflicts
- Impersonate others
Stilo reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these conditions.
7. Loyalty program
As you use Stilo, you accumulate points based on completed bookings. You can redeem these points for offers within the platform. Specific program terms, including point expiration, will be communicated within the app.
8. Intellectual property
All platform content (logos, name, design, code) is owned by Stilo or licensed to Stilo. You cannot copy, reproduce, or distribute without explicit permission.
Photos and descriptions uploaded by professionals are owned by the professional or authorized by them.
9. Privacy and personal data
Your phone and usage data are collected and processed according to the Privacy Policy. Review that policy for details about approximate location, push notifications, and behavioral analytics in the app.
10. Modifications
Stilo may modify these terms at any time. Material modifications will be communicated within the app with at least [TO BE CONFIRMED: notice period] of notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [TO BE CONFIRMED: applicable jurisdiction]. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
